Liberty Lounges: It is of our opinion that “general membership meetings” are boring. They take place in drab ICC classrooms and consist of the leadership asking everyone else to do things for them. So we decided to have “liberty lounges” instead, which take place at one of our members’ place, where we serve up snacks and coffee and shoot the breeze. Yes, club stuff is part of the agenda, but too much of that makes life dull and boring.
Movies: There’s a bunch of great liberty movies out there. Every now and then we settle down and watch one.
Speakers: There are a bunch of great organizations in DC that love to send us speakers. In the past we’ve had people come and talk about kidney markets, religious liberty after 9/11, the power of the presidency, and the drug war.
For our members: We like to help our members grow, both intellectually and in their careers. We offer materials, have a small “liberty library,” and love to connect our members to career opportunities.
