Debate

September 18, 2011

Quite a few of you expressed interest in attending the October 5th freshmen debate with the Democrats and Republicans. It looks like we’re going to have 3 spots, so we’re going to do a little selection. What I’d like you to do, if you’re interested in debating, is send me an email and a brief description of what you believe your best topics are, no more than 5 sentences. What I will probably do is try to meet with you briefly and ask you a few sample questions and gauge your response. The deadline for sending me these sentences is the end of Wednesday, September 23rd.

Regional Students for Liberty Conference

September 18, 2011
The Students for Liberty Mid-Atlantic Conference is on October 8th (Saturday). Details and a link to the registration are here, I highly encourage everyone to come. Registration is free and SAC will (hopefully) pay more than half of our travel costs. If you have any questions, just let me know–in any case, if you plan on attending, register and then shoot me a quick email letting me know. Paperwork with SAC is on a tight deadline, so let me know — and register — as soon as possible if you are coming.
By the way, check out the speaker list for the conference. It’s amazing (Reason folks, and for you Objectivists someone from the Atlas Society is speaking). You can look up the speakers who have already signed on and sign up to go here.
